Why there is no price on this page
You will not find a multiple, a percentage of collections or a price range here, and that is deliberate. Any figure published without your returns would be a guess, and a guess that is too high costs a seller a year on the market. A real analysis starts with your documents.
What buyers and lenders read
A buyer's lender underwrites the earnings of the practice as they can be documented. That starts with your tax returns and P&L and rebuilds your net income into the earnings a new owner would actually receive, with every adjustment written down and explainable.
Beyond the earnings, collections trend, hygiene retention, the mix between PPO and fee-for-service patients, the age and condition of equipment, and the remaining term of the lease all move the result. Two practices with the same collections can be priced very differently because of what is underneath.
Why online estimates mislead
Calculators and rules of thumb treat every practice as an average practice. A California practice with a strong lease and a stable hygiene schedule is different from one with a month-to-month lease and heavy owner-dependence, even if the collections match. A good analysis explains those differences instead of hiding them.
What you get from a licensed broker
After a listing agreement is signed, we build a written pricing analysis from your actual returns, formatted the way dental lenders review them. It is a broker's opinion, not a formal appraisal, and it is meant to give you a documented analysis you can discuss with a buyer's lender. Jonathan Ingalls, California DRE #01926047.
The conversation before the analysis
Before any documents change hands, there is a short private conversation about your timeline and what you want after the sale. It costs nothing and does not commit you to anything.
